Carrie is a mousy outcast, picked on, unaware of the changes in her body, and the popular kids have their sites on embarrassing her. As you know, it’s not going to go as expected.

Beautifully creepy, intense, and of course a classic that inspired so many remakes & quasi-sequels. King really knew how to make this coming of age story while criticizing puritanical parenting and the cruelty of high school bullies. It’s not an in-your-face slasher, but an emotional film that tugs at your heart while instilling terror.
